PRESS RELEASE LASU GOVERNING COUNCIL DISMISSES 15 ACADEMIC STAFF AND 2 NON-ACADEMIC STAFF, DEMOTES TWO OTHERS The Lagos State University Governing Council at its Meeting of Thursday 7th September, 2017 DISMISSED Fifteen (15) Academic Staff and Two (2) Non-Academic Staff. The Council also DEMOTED One Academic and One Non-Academic Staff. Details as follows: According to Section 6(1) and (2) of the Lagos State University Law 2004 (as amended), the Council of the Lagos State University is the governing authority of the University, and exercises general oversight over the Institution and its affairs. The Council at its 115th Meeting which held of Thursday 7th September, 2017, considered among others the report of its Joint Council /Senate (Academic) Disciplinary Committee and the Joint Council (Administrative and Technical Staff) Disciplinary Committee.
